The Nhambu Collection is a body of pan-African art, artifacts and textiles acquired by Maria Nhambu for over 40 years, and it was donated to the Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) in 2014. Rene Payne of FAVOR, and a selected team of RISD Alumni supported Mrs. Edelman of CDF by curating The Nhambu Collection. The collection inspires, educates, and empowers its viewers to experience the spirit and beauty of Africa through the creativity of its people. The art also presents hope that those who encounter the artifacts will obtain renewed inspiration to advance the cause of justice for all. FAVOR branded the collection and its implementation in extended mediums both at The Haley Farm in Tennessee, and in CDF’s Headquarters in Washington DC.
