The Abled Differently initiative generates fundamental dialogue about the perspectives and experiences of Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) community members living with different physical, mental, cognitive learning or chronic health disabilities. By sharing the artwork and narratives of students, faculty, staff and alumni, the project explores how disability informs both their creative practice and daily lives.

The Abled Differently exhibit was honored by Graphis Design International and published in the Graphis Design Design Annual 2021.
